Mini-Me knows her birthday is coming up.  This afternoon she was playing and I heard her singing "Happy Birthday" to herself and realized she got out her little pretend cake and was practicing blowing out the candles.  Hard to believe my once itsy bitsy 7lb baby is almost two!

First taste of snow. It was too cold to play outside, so we played inside with the snow!

Day 15

Sledding!!! Mini - Me went sledding last year, but doesn't remember, and had a hard time sitting up in the sled. This year, she loved it and could hold on much easier!

Day 16

Mini - Me's first pedicure!  I went for a mani and pedi on Saturday with a good friend, and Mini - Me has been talking about how 'mommas toes painted' since then, so this afternoon, I asked her if she wanted me to paint her toes, without hesitation, she told me yes!

We had another unseasonably warm day so we took advantage of it by going to the zoo!! Mini - Me and her friend were checking out the Penguins

Well, yesterday it was in the 50s, today its barely 30 and snowing, they are predicting up to 9 inches in some areas.  Mini - me requested to "go outside, see snow!" so we bundled up and made some snow angels.

We had another unseasonably warm day, so we took advantage of it with a walk to the park with our neighbors.  They say it is suppose to snow on Thursday, it is winter after all, but I am not complaining one bit about being able to be outside in January and not get cold.

Mini - Me insisted on going up the ladder by herself, and booted me from being behind her.

We had a birthday party to go to this afternoon for a friends son.  This was our first time at Pump It Up, and we had a great time! Thanks Kim, for inviting us!  Mini - Me had a blast! She was very hesitant at first, but quickly warmed up and was fearless by the time the party was over.  She was climbing up the ladders to the big slides with no help, and would get mad if you tried to help her (at one point she told me "no momma, go self!").  She was also climbing the walls on her own, but we had to help her at the very top (more so because I was afraid of her falling!).  And the juice box in her hand in the last picture is a very special treat since we were at a birthday party (juice is not a standard in this house, or in our diets, it is a treat when we go to parties and it will remain that way. But every kid is entitled to some fun and special treats!)

Bubbles!!! Another beautiful day, today it was in the 50s, in January. We are destine for a major snow storm in April, the weather has been so mild this winter, so far.  Either way, we decided to take advantage of another beautiful day and play outside.

AIRBORNE!!  Mini - Me loves to jump, and has started jumping from the grass to cement, or the tile to carpet, etc. and over things as well. Today she decided to see how much height she could get outside. 

Day 5

It was a beautiful day today! Mid (maybe even upper) 40's at one point, in January?! I'll take it, which also means that Mini - Me got outside for a walk (see the water bottle, she knows how important it is to stay hydrated when your exercising - or having your momma carry you half way around the block).  I did have to do a lot of convincing to get Mini - Me outside, which was surprising, since she usually is the one jumping at the suggestion of going out. Either way, it was a nice walk and we saw lots of airplanes and a helicopter which always adds to the excitement.

Day 3

Mini-Me and I went out this morning with a few moms and kids. At the end of our morning adventure we went to Red Robin for lunch. Mini-Me was pretty good, considering how long lunch took, and at the end of lunch got a "yellow da-balloon" and was holding onto it very tight the entire way home.  While there were a few moments of screeching because "da-balloon" would float out of her little hands she did relatively well with it.  

Day 2

Mini-Me was quite excited to see the snow on the ground when she got up this morning. I was very quickly informed that she wanted to "go outside, see snow!"  After a quick trip to the store that involved some bribery in the forms of "if you listen and we get through the store quickly, you can see the snow when we get home" we were outside shoveling! 

Day 1 (Starting over)

I was still taking pictures, but one thing got in the way of another and I let this blog slide. I'm back and am going to try this all over again, starting today, January 1, 2012.

I recently took a photography class, and am planning to take another, just need to decided which one, and am hoping to put my skills to the test and use this blog as a tool to see how my skills improve (fingers crossed!) over the course of 2012.

This picture is of my mini-me, who is a few days shy of 23 months old at this point.  I took the picture this morning while we were playing. Its not often I catch her sweet, innocent smile on camera. If she smiles for "mommas camera" right now, its a typical toddler cheesy grin (don't get me wrong, I love that smile, too!).
