Day 36 - Peek

Mini - Me loves to play with the tunnel, and if there is somebody playing peek-a-boo on the other side, its even better!!!

Day 35 - Fun in Class

Mini - Me and I had our second week of class at the park district. She was thrilled to see they had a bike out during open play.

Day 34 - Getting Dressed

** from Sunday, September 25th, sorry its blurry, it is a camera phone pic with the flash going off **

Mini - Me kept asking to sit on our bed, so I let her, and then she leaned over and started putting on my pj's at were laying at the end of the bed.

Day 33 - New Bike

As I mentioned in my previous post, I also scored a "new bike" for Mini - Me yesterday.  Its just a little ride on toy, but she is referring to it as her "new bike" so that's what we'll call it.  She can't get enough of it, already. Not sure now long it will really fit her, but for now we'll enjoy our find.

Day 32 - Score!!

I went to my first ever resale on Friday (9/23) at a local church. It's basically a really big version of a garage sale. All clothes and shoes were divided up by size and gender, there was a room full of winter coats, a huge section of books and movies, a hallway and room filled with all sorts of toys.

Pictured above : 3 pairs of jeans (2 for the next size), 2 shirts in Mini - Me's current size, 3 pairs of shoes, a snow suit (jacket and pants), a track outfit for the spring, a fleece jacket for the spring, 6 books, a toy train, and all the letters of the alphabet in magnet form.  Not pictures, a new ride on toy. Total spent $42, huge score.  Nothing I bought was more then $5, and that my friends is a good deal. Cannot wait for the spring resale, but then again, I can because I really love fall, and if it was spring, that would mean I have a 2 year old!

Day 31 - Where did my baby go?

As Mini - Me was standing in the kitchen drinking a  yogurt smoothie I thought to myself "Where did my baby go, and who is this big girl standing in front of me?"  Everybody says "Enjoy it, it goes so fast" seriously, time is flying by, I really need the clock (or as Mini - Me calls it the 'tic-toc') to slow down a bit, my baby is growing up way to fast.

Day 30 - Duckies! Choo Choo!

Mini - Me and I went to a local children's museum today with a friend and her daughter.  We had a ton of fun. So much to see and do and explore.  Mini - Me was all about the ducks and the choo-choo. We stood and watched the train for easily 20 minutes.  (and I had to hold her the whole time because its to high for her to see) every time I'd put her down so we could go check out something else, she's cry and start signing "more" and saying "mo-ah choo choo" over and over until we'd go back.  Apparently living less then a quarter mile from a train station and being able to hear them all day long (and see them any time were out) isn't enough :)

Day 29 - Up Up Up

Since it is beautiful weather today, Mini - Me and I went on an adventure to a neighboring town. There is a great path around a lake, and plenty of spots to run around and burn off some energy.  Mini - Me loves stairs and refers to them as "up up up" and if she sees them, she must climb them!

Day 28 - First Art Project

From Monday, September 19, 2011 - my laptop was being stubborn so I gave up trying to post last night.

Mini - Me and I started our first class through a local Park District. It's 50 minutes, and involves open play, story time, songs and a craft.  This was Mini - Me's first experience with paint.  The teacher painted Mini - Me's hand with yellow paint, and then we were suppose to make hand prints all around the circle to make a sunflower. Mini - Me was not a fan of this, at all, but we still got it done, to some extent!

Day 27 - Clean, clean, clean

They say a picture is worth a thousand words. So can you figure it out? Nope, its not organized differently, everything is always put away before naps and bed, because I'm way to OCD to leave it a mess.  No idea... everything ,we're talking every last toy, puzzle piece, book, ball, plastic key, stuffed animal, everything has been cleaned! We are all recovered from the crud that attacked us earlier this week, and now it was time to disinfect and get the rest of the germs, outta here!!

Day 26 - Weeeee

Beautiful afternoons are perfect for swinging at the park. Weeeee!

Day 25 - Cleaning up

I was wiping the table off after lunch, and Mini - Me started asking for a nakin (napkin). I handed her one and she threw everything off her table and started cleaning it off.  That's my girl!!

Day 24 - Progression

Mini - Me learned how to climb into her high chair all by herself, today.

Day 23 - Coloring

(Mini - Me took this picture)

It's a chilly rainy day (not to mention Mini - Me is getting over a cold and ear infection), so Mini - Me and I spent part of the afternoon coloring - and attempting to learn our colors and some shapes while we were at it. Looks like she's finally starting to have an appreciation for coloring, even if it only lasts a few minutes!

Day 22 - Busted

Apparently I was a little to slow getting breakfast ready this morning, so Mini - Me decided to help herself to some crackers.

Day 16 - Brookfield Zoo

Checking out the monkeys

Dude means serious business with that look.

Mini-Me likes watching the geese

Hello Goat!

There were 2 penguins right there, it looked like they were kissing, so I told Mini-Me "look they are kissing" and she leaned into kiss them!

Today was a perfect day, weather was beautiful, upper 60s, a bit breezy.  So Mini-Me and I went to the zoo with a good friend and her daughter. I guess I could say, that I went with a good friend and Mini-Me went with a good friend of hers! The girls are only a day apart in age and get along really well.  Great day with great company and weather. Love days like this, and they also make me appreciate that much more how lucky.

Day 15 - Story Time

I had a hard time picking today's photo.  Mini-Me loves to read books, and will sit and read almost anytime. Tonight before she headed upstairs for bed, she was reading Mickeys Alphabet with Matt.  They got to the "K is for Kiss" and she knows what a kiss is! Love that I captured the moment.

Day 14 - Cuddling

Mini-Me is not one to cuddle at all. When she is really tired or not feeling well is about the only time she'll sit still long enough for this momma to get some quality cuddling time in.  This was one of those moments. Ahhh, I'll take it, even if it involves watching the furry red monster known as Elmo and his Robot friend.

Day 13 - The Perfect Seat

Mini-Me, my mom and I all went to Septemberfest this morning, which is a tradition for Labor Day weekend.  There is a craft fair, carnival with games and rides, concerts, local dance and bands, and food.  I've gone every year my entire life, and as long as we live around here Mini-Me will, too.  So while we were wandering through the craft fair, Mini-Me was walking and saw the rock wall and starts running toward it, "jump jump" so after her first jump off of the little step, she sits down, which means its the perfect size seat for Mini-Me.

Day 12 - Reading

Mini-me took off running toward the downstairs bathroom, I asked her what she was doing, she says "read" I walked into find her sitting on the floor reading a triathlon magazine. I'm sure she made her dada proud!

Day 11 - Lunch

Mini-Me is finally getting much better at using a spoon. Lunch isn't nearly as messy as it once was, its still messy but at least its baby steps!!

Day 10 - Popsicle

Mini-Me is addicted to popsicles. Every night after dinner she use to have a cookie, and then we introduced her to popsicles, and now she gets the choice between a cookie and a popsicle.  Her response before the question is done being asked "popcle, popcle, yummm"
