Day 44 - Zoo fun with Mini - Me

We had to take a break to put some sunblock on. Mini - Me was helping rub the sunblock in.

Last weekend we needed jackets to be outside, today, sunny and low 80s. Perfect morning to spend some time at the zoo talking about animals with my Mini - Me! The best part, it wasn't very crowded so we could get up close to most of the animals.  Love fun days with my Mini - Me.

Day 43 - Happy Anniversary

Matt and I celebrated our 4th Wedding Anniversary on October 5th.  Flowers are from Matt, the wonderful pumpkin cookies are from a very sweet neighbor of ours.

Day 42 - Play-Doh

Mini - Me asked to play with her play-doh, this was a first. Usually I'm the one asking her if she wants to play.  The play-doh fun lasted about 5 minutes until she decided to see if it was a tasty treat or not.  Thankfully, its home made, so I know what it is made of, but still, not a good snack.

Day 41 - Finger Painting

This was Mini - Me's first attempt at finger painting.  Perhaps I have a future artist on my hands? Or, maybe she'll be able to write in Chinese.

Day 40 - Pumpkin Patch Fun

Spent a crisp fall Sunday morning at the pumpkin patch. Mini - Me wasn't really sure what to make of all the big pumpkins everywhere!

Day 39 - Fall is in the air

Fall is my favorite time of year. It's not humid, its not to hot out, the breeze is lovely, and the colors changing is by far the best part.  We've had a few crazy weather systems roll through the last few days - rain, then sun a minute later, more rain a few minutes after that, and a day of 35+mph wind gusts.  Ahh, fall. I hope you can stay a while, I'm not a fan of your follower Mr. Winter.

Day 38 - Relaxin

Day 37 - "Good Moon"

Mini - Me and I met a friend and her two little guys at a local library, there are a few different areas to play in, and of course tons of books. Mini - Me was quite excited to find a large version of one of her favorite books "Goodnight Moon" also known as "Good Moon" in our house.

Day 36 - Peek

Mini - Me loves to play with the tunnel, and if there is somebody playing peek-a-boo on the other side, its even better!!!

Day 35 - Fun in Class

Mini - Me and I had our second week of class at the park district. She was thrilled to see they had a bike out during open play.

Day 34 - Getting Dressed

** from Sunday, September 25th, sorry its blurry, it is a camera phone pic with the flash going off **

Mini - Me kept asking to sit on our bed, so I let her, and then she leaned over and started putting on my pj's at were laying at the end of the bed.

Day 33 - New Bike

As I mentioned in my previous post, I also scored a "new bike" for Mini - Me yesterday.  Its just a little ride on toy, but she is referring to it as her "new bike" so that's what we'll call it.  She can't get enough of it, already. Not sure now long it will really fit her, but for now we'll enjoy our find.

Day 32 - Score!!

I went to my first ever resale on Friday (9/23) at a local church. It's basically a really big version of a garage sale. All clothes and shoes were divided up by size and gender, there was a room full of winter coats, a huge section of books and movies, a hallway and room filled with all sorts of toys.

Pictured above : 3 pairs of jeans (2 for the next size), 2 shirts in Mini - Me's current size, 3 pairs of shoes, a snow suit (jacket and pants), a track outfit for the spring, a fleece jacket for the spring, 6 books, a toy train, and all the letters of the alphabet in magnet form.  Not pictures, a new ride on toy. Total spent $42, huge score.  Nothing I bought was more then $5, and that my friends is a good deal. Cannot wait for the spring resale, but then again, I can because I really love fall, and if it was spring, that would mean I have a 2 year old!

Day 31 - Where did my baby go?

As Mini - Me was standing in the kitchen drinking a  yogurt smoothie I thought to myself "Where did my baby go, and who is this big girl standing in front of me?"  Everybody says "Enjoy it, it goes so fast" seriously, time is flying by, I really need the clock (or as Mini - Me calls it the 'tic-toc') to slow down a bit, my baby is growing up way to fast.

Day 30 - Duckies! Choo Choo!

Mini - Me and I went to a local children's museum today with a friend and her daughter.  We had a ton of fun. So much to see and do and explore.  Mini - Me was all about the ducks and the choo-choo. We stood and watched the train for easily 20 minutes.  (and I had to hold her the whole time because its to high for her to see) every time I'd put her down so we could go check out something else, she's cry and start signing "more" and saying "mo-ah choo choo" over and over until we'd go back.  Apparently living less then a quarter mile from a train station and being able to hear them all day long (and see them any time were out) isn't enough :)

Day 29 - Up Up Up

Since it is beautiful weather today, Mini - Me and I went on an adventure to a neighboring town. There is a great path around a lake, and plenty of spots to run around and burn off some energy.  Mini - Me loves stairs and refers to them as "up up up" and if she sees them, she must climb them!

Day 28 - First Art Project

From Monday, September 19, 2011 - my laptop was being stubborn so I gave up trying to post last night.

Mini - Me and I started our first class through a local Park District. It's 50 minutes, and involves open play, story time, songs and a craft.  This was Mini - Me's first experience with paint.  The teacher painted Mini - Me's hand with yellow paint, and then we were suppose to make hand prints all around the circle to make a sunflower. Mini - Me was not a fan of this, at all, but we still got it done, to some extent!

Day 27 - Clean, clean, clean

They say a picture is worth a thousand words. So can you figure it out? Nope, its not organized differently, everything is always put away before naps and bed, because I'm way to OCD to leave it a mess.  No idea... everything ,we're talking every last toy, puzzle piece, book, ball, plastic key, stuffed animal, everything has been cleaned! We are all recovered from the crud that attacked us earlier this week, and now it was time to disinfect and get the rest of the germs, outta here!!

Day 26 - Weeeee

Beautiful afternoons are perfect for swinging at the park. Weeeee!

Day 25 - Cleaning up

I was wiping the table off after lunch, and Mini - Me started asking for a nakin (napkin). I handed her one and she threw everything off her table and started cleaning it off.  That's my girl!!

Day 24 - Progression

Mini - Me learned how to climb into her high chair all by herself, today.

Day 23 - Coloring

(Mini - Me took this picture)

It's a chilly rainy day (not to mention Mini - Me is getting over a cold and ear infection), so Mini - Me and I spent part of the afternoon coloring - and attempting to learn our colors and some shapes while we were at it. Looks like she's finally starting to have an appreciation for coloring, even if it only lasts a few minutes!

Day 22 - Busted

Apparently I was a little to slow getting breakfast ready this morning, so Mini - Me decided to help herself to some crackers.

Day 21 - Fun with Chalk

Day 18, Day 19, Day 20 - Ironman Wisconsin, Weekend.

Sorry for the few day delay. Matt raced Ironman Wisconsin over the weekend, so we were up in Madison for a few days.
